Just a quick hello from the Durfields! After being gone for 2 weeks, we did not have the time to check the blog, so I just spent some time catching up and LOVE hearing about all the outdoor adventures (trying not be too green with envy). Rejoicing over all this wonderful family time you're having together!

I'm so glad to see all of you enjoying your new surroundings. It is beautiful and I remain jealous of you all (but in a good way). Can't wait to hear first hand about all your adventures. Are you seeing any animals? What is the furthest you've hiked?

Hi Kiddies,
My newspaper predicts warmer weather up there for today and tomorrow, so I hope that will continue through the weekend and you will have a wonderful trip to Glacier National Park. If there is snow, enjoy the fact that you can play in it and return to warmer weather. Think about your family history--the week before your Mother was born (in Michigan in February), we had a snowstorm that deposited thigh-deep snow in our neighborhood! And we had snow every year, not just for a couple days. No, we didn't have to trudge miles to school in the snow...but Granddad did walk most of a mile in that snow to get to an open road that weekend! That's a longer story.

Nice writing, Joshua and Christina! It's really fun to hear about the exciting things you & the other kids are doing and experiencing. And I'm jealous that you've been up in the Arch, & I HAVEN'T! Glad that you're seeing all kinds of animals, both ranch and in the wild, and we hope you continue to enjoy exploring the great, wild West! Love you both, please give hugs to all your family there!

The first to "write" in the family blog--good for you! I'm glad you're enjoying all of your new experiences (except for the cold weather, of course!). Playing the violin with Rebecca and Sarah will be lots of fun. Digging in the dirt with the boys--well, that wouldn't be so much fun for me I don't think. I want you to concentrate on getting that weather warmed up before I come to visit!
